Vietnamese First-Timers

Christina and I are so appreciative of my parents. They gave up a lot of prior engagements in Chicago to watch the kids while we were in Kenya.

Before we left for Chicago, we had dinner together. We were trying to decide where to go – you have to remember that in Ann Arbor we are limited in choices.

We took them out to a pan-Asian restaurant and ordered some Vietnamese food. It was their first time eating Vietnamese food (hard to believe).

As I watched my parents enjoy some of the dishes that we ordered, it just brought a smile to my face. Not only was this their first time eating Vietnamese food, but they enjoyed it. We are never “too” old to try new things.
