I grew up reading and watching the various heroes that were portrayed in the Marvel Comic books, Justice League and Super Friends.
There is something about a kid’s imagination that helps fuel the fire for wanting to be a superhero. One of my favorite characters has always been Captain America. He was always known for fighting for justice and freedom. Therefore, when I read in the news today that Captain America died, it was not a good day in the superhero world.
Instead of comic book heroes, we need to see more live and modern day heroes today. The interesting thing is that many of the heroes today are ordinary people doing ordinary things with passion and purpose – this is why it makes them extra-ordinary!
Be a hero to someone today.
