I am always fascinated with children’s creativity. I think sometimes as we get older we lose some of the edge on creativity and spontaneity of a child.
Today after dinner, the kids and I decided to play hockey… well, kind of like field hockey. For our stick, we used a small badminton-like rackets, toy golf clubs and a spongy baseball bat. I was stuck with the spongy baseball bat. We used a soft cloth ball as a puck and then we used Karissa’s baby stroller and a step stool as our goals. Pretty much we scrounged around the whole toy box to find all that we needed.
How is it that kids can come up with these incredible games and even use random things to have fun? I guess as we get older we get more complicated and maybe more spoiled with things. I have to confess at first I was thinking to myself, “I don’t know if this is going to work.” But at the end I was proven wrong.
The game ended in a 3-3 tie. Usually, in the Kim tribe it is better to end in a tie or we will be playing forever just to see who will be the winner. Man, these competitive kids 🙂
