It was good seeing the whole team last night. We ended up going to a real Texan BBQ. It was incredible because they cook all the meat right in an open pit. As we were sharing in a meal, we had an opportunity to catch up.
We praise God because most of the members have gotten a job and are working to help support themselves. Also, it was encouraging to hear some of the testimonies from the members. I was particularly bless to hear how some of them survived on minimal resources. The men ate mac & cheese, peanut butter & jelly and ramen noodle for most of the past month. Therefore, it brought me great joy to see them at this BBQ.
They have about 4 more weeks before the official launch of the church. God provided a movie theater right on campus for them to meet on Sundays, which was a big answer to prayer. God is truly paving the way for the team.
We are going to head out to campus in the afternoon and tonight we will spend some time in prayer for one another and the church plant.
