A Rookie Mistake

I don’t know how long I have been traveling, but after awhile we begin to do things mindlessly. This morning, I ended up missing my flight to L.A. Since I was told that my flight was at 8AM and that I was going to be picked up at 6AM, I just assumed that everything was all set. I usually have reminders and things to double check. But this time around I was not thinking.

So you should have seen the look on my face when I was trying to check-in for my flight and I could not. I talked with an flight agent and they gave me this strange look and said, “Uh, the flight took off at 6AM!”

Wow!

But by God’s grace (and being a Platinum Elite Status member), they put me on another flight to L.A. without any charge. I just had to remind myself that God was still in control 🙂

I am heading out to L.A. for the AMI Pastors’ Summit. It will be a great time of hanging out with the other AMI pastors and getting refreshed to do another year of ministry.

But I do long for home (Ann Arbor). Now, the more I travel, the more I am disliking the suitcase lifestyle and I just want to be back home to spend time with family and the church family.
