My Biography

Beginnings: Born in Seoul, South Korea and came to the States when I was 5 years old
Spiritual Beginnings: Received Christ at a retreat during the summer of my 8th grade
Family: Married to Christina and have 3 children (Josiah, Elliot, and Karissa)
Studies: B.S in Psychology and Sociology (University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana); Master of Arts (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School); Master of Divinity (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School); Doctor of Ministry (Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary)
Mission: One word – Transformation
Hobbies: Listening to music (everything except heavy metal), opera, reading anything and everything, ESPN, playing and watching sports
Movies: It’s a Wonderful Life; Braveheart; Cinderella Man; Godfather; Anything based on a true story
Foods: Anything ethnic
Composer: Sergei Rachmaninov
Drink: It depends… after preaching it would be some kind of Diet Cola with some kind of fruit twist to it; when I need a caffeine fix it will have to be a grande-nonfat-no foam-vanilla-latte; when I want something exotic then it would be an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade and half ice tea)
Sports Team: I am a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. After that, I love playing and watching sports for the love of the game.
Heroes: People that nobody knows about but are making an enormous difference in God’s Kingdom
Passions: I am passionate about predicting a trend before it becomes a trend.
Ambitions: Wanting to be Jack Bauer
Weakness: Workaholic and perfectionist tendencies
Pet Peeves: I made a promise to God that I will never mention them
Dream: To invent or discover something that will improve our world
Inspiration: Christina and children; when something is done that has never been done before; a water ripple
Smiles: Seeing people live out their God-given destinies; introducing something new to someone; watching someone enjoy something for the first time
Priceless: Buying end-of-the-season stuff at 80% off – truly priceless!
Serenity: Having the windows open as it rains to allow the wind to blow in… a coffee mug in hand and listening to classical music with eyes closed; sunsets and sunrises
